A little about the experience.

We start with a slow walk — an hour, no distance to cover — collecting leaves, bark, seed heads and anything else the season is offering.

Back in the studio we work with what we gathered: pressing, rubbing, staining paper, arranging. The colours of a place in a particular month turn out to be quite specific.

Sturdy shoes and a coat matter more than any artistic ability.

What would be provided

  • Collecting bags and presses
  • Papers, boards and binding materials
  • Tea and something to eat

You might bring

  • Shoes and a coat suited to the weather
  • A water bottle
